Good morning. Guess what I dreamed about? Oddly enough, NOT jungles, planes, or polar bears.
Danielle has walked onto the beach and announced that the Others took her baby after it was born, and that they'll be back. Claire must feel pretty secure now.
Later the beach crew is attempting to transport the raft to the water. It falls off the rails, Michael and Sawyer argue. This is going to be a great trip with the two of them onboard.
In the distance there is a giant black plume of smoke. Danielle tells them they'll need a place to hide 40 people; that being in the jungle won't save them. Where to go? Oh wait - there's the steel bunker. If they can get in. Danielle has dynamite.
Pre-Crash Life (from now on abbreviated as "PCL"): Jack meets an AnaLucia at the airport bar. She's obnoxious in her inquisitiveness. And will be sitting in the back of the plane. Row 43. She must be out hanging with Bernard these days.
With Jack and a band of folks going to Danielle's after the dynamite, and the raft imminently embarking, Sawyer takes a moment to tell Jack goodbye. Reveals how he met Jack's father in the bar. Jack is appropriately touched.
Aw.Sawyer scored a good guy point.
Charlie is collecting messages to loved ones from the people not going on the raft. Kate isn't going on the raft after all, and is trying to find Sawyer to say goodbye.
The Jay Leno guy (Arnzt) is a high school science teacher. And a weenie. He was in the party going to Danielle's for the dynamite but wusses out when learned someone on her crew lost an arm way back when. He decided to head back, but hears the Invisi-Roar and starts booking in the opposite direction.
Rain machine full effect.
Danielle leads everyone into a tree thicket and Locke tells them to hold still. Invisi-Roar quiets or makes noise in another direction. Daniele explains it's a security system to scare people away.
PCL: Shannon proves she is a snotty bitch just a little bit more by snotting off to Boone at the airport.
Danielle gets them to Black Rock, which is a wooden ship completely aground. Looks to be intact too.
Sun gives Jin a going away present - flashcards with seafaring words so he understands his raftmates better. They say their sorry. He says he's going to save her.
It's just past 7 in the morning and I'm teary. Oy. But it's getting close to the end of the season, so the writers are doing their job. That's all.
The raft gets in the water. Vincent jumps in the water to follow Walt, who yells for him to go back. He does. They begin to sail away - the raft is actually seaworthyish.
I'm a mess now with the hopeful soaring music from Michael Giacchino. Stupid dog contrivance.

This is absolutely fascinating. Lost has been a part of my life for the last 6 years; I hope the series wraps up in a way to make it time well spent. To see someone else compressing those 6 years into a few days... Well, good luck, and I hope you like it! Thanks for doing this blog!
