S2 Ep17 "Lockdown"

(started 5/20/10 22:55)

Aw damn, there's a balloon after all. I was almost hoping that Ana would get ravaged by Henry's group - maybe they would be cannibals or zombies to boot. Not that I want Charlie or Sayid to get eaten.

The thing about Henry is that I have known people like him, worked with a few, am related to a one, lived with one - who are instantly able to read the dynamic between two people and push their buttons to pit them against each other all day long. It's not fun to watch, and I'm thankful I was never on the receiving end.

Locke is experiencing glitchy things in the bunker. There's the static-y speaker system, a woman whispering, the electrical system is flickering, and the blast doors close up, and he get shut in with Henry. More importantly, everyone else is shut out.

Back at the beach, Jack and Sawyer are playing poker for the medical supplies and to win their pissing contest.

Locke is stuck under the blast door now and needs Henry to help him with the sequence execution. Has Henry not heard the alarm bell since he's been down there? He has to have asked about that sound - he asks about everything else. Or makes observations unsolicited.

Henry ends up being trustworthy - this time. The sequence gets re-set and he comes back to Locke after being in the airshafts But not before the place goes into blacklight, revealing a day-glo map of the bunker/storage/hatch system on the island (I'm presuming?) Also Locke must now realize that he owes Henry something. And it probably won't be long before he's asked to reciprocate. It's going to be a big time favor, you know it.

Jack and Kate are in the jungle and see a flickering beacon light. It's a parachute with Dharma food supplies. Charlie, Sayid and Ana come upon them at that moment. They all go back to find Henry out of the locked room in the bunker.

They let Henry know they did find the balloon and the grave. It's all how he said it would be. Except they found an ID for Henry Gale, and his picture shows that he's African-American.
