S1 Ep25 "Exodus pt 3"

(started 5/20/10 08:05)

The "Previouslies" just reminded me that Charlie now knows there's heroin inside the Beechcraft. Great. This is not foreboding in any way, shape or form.

Locke is having a staredown with Invisi-Roar. He's badass like that. It comes close to him, and we finally see fear cross Locke's face.

Jack sees Locke being dragged backward through the jungle. I guess it's not and invisible monster, per se, because it looks like a towrope is on Locke's ankle. Jack dives on him before Locke gets dragged own a shaft in the ground. Locke looks very sure of his odds and tells Jack to let him go. Down the rabbit hole. It's all about you, isn't it, Locke?

They throw in a stick of TNT. It blows, and a small black cloud hovers briefly and darts away.

Darts away? What is it, a smoke gnat?

On the raft, Michael gives Jin back the watch he found that Jin punched him out over. So glad you're getting around to making amends. Hardheads.

Claire never looked up babynames apparently? Isn't that what you do for 8 months of a 9 month pregnancy? Aaron means "mountain" little lady. I've been pregnant - it's what you do. The More You Know. Oh, wrong network.

Sayid puts gunpowder on Charlie's headwound (presumably to cauterize it) - ouch. This is the guy you punched. You let him creat a mini explosion on your cranium. That's trust.

PCL: We're once again being shown the bad luck Hurley has. It seems to be more like a case of poor planning on a lot of fronts. He missed his original flight, got rebooked and had to purchase an extra seat because of his curves, then has to hightail it to the international terminal to where it's already boarding. He commandeers (with $$$) a Rascal scooter to get to gate, only to find the jetway is closed. He begs, Amazing Race style and gets to board after all.

It's his lucky day. Right.

Locke tells Jack each one of them was brought to the island for a reason. And the island was what who brought them there. It's destiny.

Locke needs to talk to Claire about fate and destiny. They are on opposite ends of this belief system.

Locke thinks Boone was a sacrifice to the island. Great. Is he going to start Kurtzing again?

PCL we see Locke getting himself loaded onto the flight. I just flashed on a crash scene - was Locke one of the people who flew up out of their seats and smacked the ceiling? That could reverse your paralysis. I may be misremembering.

On the raft the radar starts beeping. Something's out there. Impossible! It's only an ocean, for crap's sake.

Sayid and Charlie find Danielle and baby Aaron. She insists she heard the Others whispering about coming for the child. Charlie calls her a nutjob. Good call at the moment.

Hurley sees the numbers on the side of the steel bunker. He wants to stop them - the numbers are bad. He tries to stomp out the TNT fuse. Didn't work. It blows.

On the raft, Sawyer and Michael argue about whether to fire a flare in response to the beeping. The beep moves away and after they fire the flare, it returns closer. They see something in the dark - a floodlight shines on them. It's a boat! Full of child-trafficking pirates, apparently. They only want Walt.

They speed away with him.

(edit)

oops - I hit publish too quickly. Charlie has a heroin-filled Mary statue.

PCL we see our islanders in the boarding process pre-flight. We see them acknowledging one another as they stow their carry-ons.

Hurley, Jack, Kate and Locke check the bunker to see if the TNT opened the hatch. It did, and we see inside is long shaft with a ladder.

Season One - down!
