S2 Ep 20 "Two For the Road"

Another AnaLucia-centric episode. Grr.

She tries to get Henry to talk or eat, or perhaps some of each. She leans in to hear him muttering and he strikes out at her, grabbing her by the throat, throwing her up against the wall and chocking her. Why didn't he finish the job? Because Locke whacks him with his crutch.

We find out that Ana was a traveling companion to Jack's father when he left for Australia. Jeebus, is there anyone who didn't drink with this guy and see him prior to his death? Well, Jack didn't, we know that much.

She goes along with him when he stops off at a house in the suburbs. Standing in the rain arguing with a woman on the porch, you can barely make out the conversation, but it sounds like Jack has a half-sister.

Back on the island she sexes it up with Sawyer, taking a gun in the process.

She ambushes Henry in the bunker, to retaliate on his assault of her earlier. But she can't kill him. Later she tells this to Michael, who offers to kills Henry for her. They're animals as far as he's concerned for taking Walt from him.

She gives him the combination to the lock, he shoots her in the chest (~ Oops! Edited to correct gender). Ana's dead! Libby hears the shot and comes walking in 'Michael?" He is startled, spins around and plugs her twice.

Michael opens the locked room, and stares in at Henry. Is he going to plug him too? Michael turns the gun on himself and fires. Looks like it's going to get him in the arm or shoulder.

Damn. Final two minutes gets all the action. Is Michael shooting himself to set up a get away for Henry? Is this a trade for getting Walt back from the Others? It can't be a suicide attempt - Michael knows Walt is still out there.

But if it was not 2am I would be doing the serious happy dance right now. Ana is dead. I'll still have to see her in flashbacks, I'm sure. But at least she is not advancing in the plot anymore.
