S2 Ep3 "Orientation"

(started 5/20/10 10:35)

I started this project on a whim 24 hours ago. I have watched 21 hours now (3 hour break in the wee hours of the AM) and have viewed 27 episodes so far. My mother will be so proud. And it's her birthday today. It's all for you Mom. No, not really.

PCL Locke is in anger management. Well good for him. Katey Sagal is in the class too. Hubba hubba. Glad to meet you Helen.

The rafter trio are thrown into a pit in the ground for holding by the Others.

Desmond's computer got shot in a dust up. He declares they are all going to die now. There was no "brother" so you know he's for serious. For reals.

PCL Locke likes Helen and promises to call her as he leaves before breakfast. Kidney-thief Dad is into Stalker-Locke's car, asking him what he wants. And to stop stalking him.

My kidney, of course. Give it back, now. No, Locke just wants an answer why he did it. Dad tells him "There is no why." And to get over it. Sign that man up for Father of the Year, along with the convict who skipped out of jail when he went to donate an organ to his needful son. Asshattery in excellence.

Kate tells Desmond that Sayid can fix the computer. She leaves to get him.

Desmond crashed some years ago while on a race around the world. Some guy named Kelvin appeared out of the jungle and brought him to the dome room, pressed the button and saved the world. And this is what he does now. Number sequence, press the button, save the world. Great career. I'll look into it.

The jailed trio get a new roommate - a girl.

Locke and Jack are treated to a fillum - The Dharma Inititave. Station Orientation. I see polar bears are part of the inititaive. Yay. There can never be too many polar bears on this show. The upshot of orientation is that every 108 minutes the sequence of code and execution must happen. Namaste.

PCL Locke gets a key to Helen's place. But he has to agree to stay the night if he "stays the night." Agree to it dude. You options are pretty limited for nookie. He also has to agree to not stalk his father any longer. Decisions, decisions.

The jailed roommate is the girl from the bar with Jack. She was in the tail section. AnaLucia. I don't believe she's been on her own. But Sawyer is dense and going to play hero with a gun the next time the grate is opened.

Desmond fries the computer a little more, shouts that "it's over!" and packs up to leave. Brother-saying is back. Jack's leaving too. Locke is left alone, gets angry and yells at the air about what is he supposed to do.

How long till his legs start becoming atrophied again? There has to be a correlation.

PCL Locke is getting schooled by Helen. He needs to take a leap of faith and move on with her.

Kate returns to the dome room with Hurley and Sayid. Hurley goes looking for a breaker box, and finds the food storage area instead. Great. Now he's never going to lose any weight.

AnaLucia gets the gun away from Sawyer and hollers up to be let out. Which they do. Of course she's an Other.

Jack chases Desmond down. How long until Jack tells Desmond he met him before. Oh that's ok. Desmond tells him he remembers him. Desmond asks Jack whatever happened to the girl they discussed. Jack angry cries that he married her. Sarah must have died or ran off with all his money and the dog with Scut Farkis for him to be that upset about talking about her. I'm guessing it's the first option. Desmond takes off with a "laters" over his shoulder.

The sequence is starting again. Press the button people. See what happens. Accept your fate. Arguments about believing and leaps of faith. Do it or don't. Get all Yoda about it. Come on. That noise is bugging me.

  2. I just watched the penultimate episode in your honor. Also, a good term for Jack crying is "Jears."
