S2 Ep13 "The Long Con"

Whew - I had to take an hour break. Started to feel a little spacey and full of tunnel vision. Food break, and called my mom to wish her happy birthday. Then got pissed off hearing about her bad day at work. Some jackhole customer is messing with her and her company won't do much to help out the situation - heaven forbid they do the right thing and turn away a customer's business for the sake of an employee's safety and well-being.

Pardon the personal asides. On with the show.

PCL Sawyer. You new girlie wants you to show her how to con others. Really? This will end badly.

It's a good idea to have two people have the combo to the guns, but Locke still seems heavy handed in execution, even when he's talking to Jack.

Sawyer lost his glasses on the raft. too bad - they were mighty fashionable. And he's rather pissy about his pain meds. Somebody have a problem they have been masking?

Can 40 people or less really be called an army?

I don't believe Ana is kidding about not really wanting the combo. She wants that control.

Rain machine time. Sun gets attacked and a hood. I swear that is a rain machine the way it stops & starts so quickly.

PCL Sawyer. She HAS to be playing you. Or she's really stupid. Why would you learn about different con jobs and not smell it that it could and will happen to you? Oh yeah, because he lurves you...

Ana is conveniently making herself available to participate in activities involving the possible use of firearms. Was she involved in Sun's attack? And now Kate is thinking like me - that zoom in was a little freaky, but I'll accept it.

PCL Sawyer - the girlfriend now wants to do a long con, so how does it work? Really? And he plays right into it by telling her "It's getting someone to ask you to do something likes its their idea, but its not their idea, it's your idea." And in the next breath she conveniently tells you how she has $600K (that he must already know she has.) Where did you find this girl?

Considering the actress playing Cassidy (loved her as Joanie on Deadwood) I think Sawyer's getting the short end on this one. Maybe in the next few episodes we'll see that his partner is in on this and he'll end up with all the money and Sawyer's too.

So now we don't trust Jack? What gives, Locke? And where did he move the guns to?

And now Sawyer is the gunlord. He's doing everything he can to be the bad guy and disliked in camp, isn't he? Doesn't want to be beholden to anyone for anything. Sawyer is no Al Swearengen, let me tell you.

Kate confronts Sawyer on his actions. I'm with her - he just wants people to hate him.

Sayid and Hurley should dance to Moonlight Serenade. They really should. It's quite the romantic song.

Charlie was Sawyer's partner in stealing the guns. Charlie's gone over to the darkside because he wants to humiliate Locke.

Sawyer is just not a good guy. Put that on the epitaph.
