S1 Ep 17 "...In Translation"

(started 5/19/10 22:35)

It's a joke, get it? Lost in Translation. And it's a Jin/Sun episode so it's in mostly in Korean. Har dee har.

Seriously, I am realizing how many people on this show have done violence to others, including having killed people, in Pre-Crash Life. If this is so disproportionate in the real world it means I know a lot of people who have snuffed another person's candle out. Creepy.

I like that this show has the Jin & Sun talking to each other in Korean. Every other show on earth would have them speaking in English with Korean accents for their conversations together. Thank you for not dumbing it down for me, writing staff.

Somebody set Michael's raft on fire. Was it Jin? Was it Locke? Was it the Roaring Invis-monster?

Boo. Sun's puppy came as a result of Jin strong-arming on behalf of Sun's father. Bummer.

Sayid does the honorable thing and lets Boone know he's come a-courtin' for Shannon. Boone schools Sayid on his sister. Thanks for looking out for her, bro. What a dick.

"Everyone gets a new life on this island, Shannon. Maybe its time you start yours." So sayeth Locke, so sayeth the lord. Dispensing the wisdom again while gutting an animal.

Ah, now I know why Jin has bloody sleeves.

Back on the beach, Jin baits Sun into admitting she speaks English by taking a beating from Michael. BTW, Michael, it's not cool to knock others around in front of your child. Bad parenting, dude.

Locke lectures that nobody in their group would want to impede another from trying to get home. I'm not so sure about that, Locke.

Michael apologizes to Walt. But not for the fighting. He irritates me.

Jin takes his nets and backpack to move out on Sun. He tells her it's too late for them to start over. Ironic.

Hurley owes Walt $83K in backgammon debt. Chump change.

Locke knows Walt set the raft on fire. Walt just didn't want to move again. Well shit. Is that all you have to do to get your point across to a parent?

Jin is going to help Michael build Raft 2.0

Sun shows her new independence by wearing the bikini. Go girl.

Hurley's discman finally died.
